An Academics in Action webinar hosted by Anna Maria College
On March 17, 2021, Anna Maria College hosted a webinar panel discussion on how the COVID-19 public health crisis has changed society with a focus on the cities and towns in Central Massachusetts. With vaccination programs well underway and public health restrictions adapting for a new normal, the panel of experts addressed steps that the public and private sectors might take to best manage the reopening process while remaining vigilant; addressing the pandemic’s impact on mental health; and how health emergency management and business continuity has been changed both as a field of study and as a career.

Anna Maria College alumni in the public safety sector include Fire Chiefs, Police Chiefs, EMTs, Emergency Managers, and federal and state public safety officers. Anna Maria College also offers several programs in the behavioral health professions including mental health counseling, psychology, human services, and social work, in addition to degrees in nursing, health sciences, education, business, art, music and the liberal arts.
