Student Leadership

Commuter Services

The Office of Student Activities at Anna Maria College is committed to enhancing the student experience outside of the classroom. We support the development of the whole person to pursue their passions while gaining life and leadership skills to be used while at Anna Maria College and beyond graduation.

We believe in the importance of developing community within our campus as well as the appreciation, understanding, and advocacy of different perspectives and lived identities. This includes exploring and understanding personal identities and their intersectionality.   All offerings and decisions are student-centered and our staff is committed to empowering and challenging students in intentional ways. We also want to help make memories that are fun and impactful to forever connect students as AMCATS.

Throughout your time as an AMCAT, the Office of Student Activities is here to support your student experience. We start with assisting new students in their transition to Anna Maria though orientation programs and end by hosting a series of Senior Week events to cap off your time at Anna Maria College. We also oversee the Student Government Association and the clubs and organizations that fall under the SGA. These clubs and organizations help to make our campus vibrant through hosting a variety of social, educational, or celebratory programs. We have many clubs for you to choose from, but would love to help you start something new that aligns with your passions.

Commuter Lounge

Looking for a place just for commuters to hang out in-between classes during the day or in the evening? The Commuter Lounge is a dedicated area for commuters to relax in a community atmosphere with some comforts to help you while here on campus.

There’s a refrigerator and microwave available for commuters to easily bring food from home for meals. You can also watch TV, print out materials on your own printer, and use a public computer in case you forget yours at home. Add some lounge furniture to relax on and you’ve got your own home away from home!

Commuter Lockers

Take a load off! We’ve got free lockers for commuters to keep belongings that you don’t need to bring back-and-forth from home. They are located in a side hallway right next to the Commuter Lounge, and they are free! All you need is your own lock (AMC assumes no responsibility for any belonging lost in unsecured lockers).

Click here for the locker registration form

Commuter Assistants

Upper class student workers in the Commuter Assistant position want to help support other commuters to be successful at AMC. Need some advice about resources on campus, how to get connected as a commuter student, or even about the best places on campus to study?

These students are here for you to talk! Commuter Assistants will also provide some daytime programs for you to enjoy before and in-between your classes during the day to get the full college experience. Commuter Assistants will be located in the Commuter Lounge during the day, so feel free to visit them when you are free.
