Assistant Athletic Trainer Job- Spring 2025
Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time, ten (10) month, position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This individual will work as member of the medical staff, providing for the safety and welfare of AMCAT student-athletes. This may include the prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, care and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions for student-athletes.
Anna Maria College is an NCAA Division III institution, sponsoring 13 varsity sports. Beginning in fall 2025, AMC will be a full member of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). The men’s lacrosse program will compete in the Northern Athletic Conference (NAC).
Job duties include, but are not limited to;
Assistant Athletic Trainer Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to student-athletes including evaluation, rehabilitation, prevention, documentation, and care of injuries.
- Supervise athletic practices and competitions according to schedule, including attending away contests when appropriate.
- Assist in coordinating pre-season physicals, team physician visits, and off-campus appointments for student-athletes.
- Ensure student-athlete pre-participation medical clearance.
- Communicate with coaching staff regarding all health and fitness issues affecting student-athletes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Athletic Training or related field, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Current CPR for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Current BOC certification in good standing, and current Massachusetts licensure (or eligible).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
