Program Overview

The Anna Maria College Business Program is committed to preparing its students to excel professionally and build careers in today’s increasingly dynamic marketplace. The major in Business Administration is a four-year learning experience leading to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). The Business curriculum fosters both intellectual and experiential growth of the students as individuals to ensure the skills, knowledge, attributes and competency to begin their careers quickly. Faculty ensure students appreciate the importance of seeing the “big picture” relative to organizational structures, while taking into consideration the team goals, data analysis, and strategy to move projects forward. Small classes provide the student with the opportunity for one-on-one learning experiences with faculty who are experienced practitioner’s eager to work with individual students as they prepare for their careers. A bachelor’s degree in Business can be applied to virtually any industry and can also be used to help start one’s own business.

All students take eleven core business courses designed to give them a solid foundation in business concepts and practices, as well as critical thinking skills and ethical reasoning for making business decisions. Teamwork, working well under sustained pressure, meeting deadlines, and the latest information and communication technology (ICT) tools are stressed throughout the program. Upper level elective courses in management, marketing, international business, accounting, entrepreneurship and finance are offered to meet the specific educational goals of the student.
The business program also includes majors in Sport ManagementHealth Administration, and Digital Marketing. For students continuing their studies, graduate Business Administration (MBA) [Links to Business Administration in Graduate Studies] programs are available.
