Anna Maria College Esports continues the march.

Monday was a big day for Team Apex. After six solid games and consistent top-10 finishes,
Apex has climbed into the top 3 of their group. The team showed strong coordination,
smart rotations, and a cool head under pressure, especially in late-game circles where
every second counts. They’re hitting their stride at the right time, and with playoffs on the
horizon, the momentum is building for next week.

Tuesday brought a fight for Street Fighter. Aaron Vazquez had to dig deep but came out on
top after a gritty match. On the flip side, 2K player Sebastion Jouissance couldn’t find his
rhythm and took a tough loss. Esports ended the day with a win and a loss.

Wednesday was an electric showcase from freshman Ben Milgate. The pro on the sticks
made quick work of his opponent in Super Smash Bros., cruising to a 3-0 victory and continuing his undefeated rookie season.

On Thursday, we learned Rocket League doesn’t like to win Game 1, but they do love to
finish strong. A 4-1 victory, fueled by Captain Brock Hill’s goals and assists, turned an early
loss into a near reverse sweep. Overwatch kept the energy rolling with a 3-1 win over
Louisiana Tech. Led by in-game captains Dominic Lynch and Dylan McLaughlin, the squad
bounced back from a Game 1 loss to move to 2-1 in the toughest division in the ECAC.

Friday was a night of nights. This one meant a lot to me personally. Overwatch took on The
University of New Haven, my alma mater. In a clash of the ECC heavy hitters, the AMCATS
dug in and earned a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the Chargers, holding onto our spot as the #1 seed.

Player of the week is Ben Milgate, Freshman, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
