Last week, Anna Maria College Esports was eventful to say the least.

Apex had some serious competition in the lobby on Monday, facing off against former
National Champions. Even so, they held their own, finishing 26th in the league, a solid
showing. After a rocky start, they rallied hard and closed out the night with a clutch 4th place finish. The team is fired up to run it back on Monday the 13th.

Tuesday wasn’t kind to our 2K and Street Fighter squads. Both players took losses, but 2K
went the distance and pushed their match to the limit. Street Fighter’s Aaron had a tough
go, dropping a quick one. But they’re not out, and both are hungry for redemption this
week.

Thursday night was a movie. Rocket League started down 0 to 2 in their best-of-seven
against Alice Lloyd College. But they flipped the script. Refusing to fold, the squad stormed
back to take the series 4 to 2. Captain Brock Hill was unstoppable, racking up 11 goals,
more than half of the team’s total. Rocket League is bringing that same energy this
Thursday.

Fridays belong to AMC Esports. Both Overwatch and Call of Duty dominated with clean
sweeps. Overwatch handled business in under 29 minutes. Call of Duty didn’t let up either,
with Captain Mike Verran posting a 46 and 17 stat line on one map alone. Both teams went
3 and 0 on the night and are locking in on a playoff push.

Player of the week is Brock Hill, Captain of Rocket League.
