MA Latino Police Association Honors Officer Familia at Anna Maria College 

On May 21, the Massachusetts Latino Police Association hosted a ceremony at Anna Maria College renaming their scholarship program in honor of Worcester Police Officer Enmanuel “Manny” Familia. An Anna Maria College student who was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Familia was only 38 years old when he lost his life while heroically trying to save a young boy from drowning in Green Hill Pond in 2021.
