Professor Maruska published in military journal for riveting Vietnam War story 

Professor Travis Maruska, Associate Professor of Writing and Media Studies at the Anna Maria College recently published his new article “We Were Ghosts: A Vietnam Story” in the NCO Journal.  Maruska’s story is based on a series of interviews he conducted with a Special Forces Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. “Jerry” recounts his harrowing first-hand experiences from a small-town boy to a young Green Beret confronted with death, sacrifice, and heart-breaking decisions.
