SUMMARY:
The Men’s Soccer Graduate Assistant Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Men’s Soccer Coach in running all year-round aspects of the Anna Maria College Men’s Soccer Team. Working aspects included with this position but are not limited to; developing and coaching team training sessions, planning and implementing home and away match logistics, holding team meetings, break down training and match film, supervising team academics, scouting opponents, developing in-season and off-season player/team development plans, recruiting, hosting recruits, campus tours, community outreach, fundraising, effective communication with the athletic department staff and administration, along with other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Support head coach in ensuring that all matters related to the team’s student-athletes adhere to NCAA and conference rules and regulations
• Participate in coordinating, strategy, and planning meetings of the coaching staff
• Attend and actively coach at all non-traditional and traditional practice
• Instruct student-athletes in regards skills and execution needed to perform the sport
• Assist in game statistical and film analysis
• Participate in player evaluation
• Maintain an active role in the recruitment of student-athletes, including: identification of prospective student-athletes and participation in the on-campus recruiting process
• Contribute to a positive work climate and the team effort within the school, as well as demonstrate positive sportsmanship in everyday situations
• Establish and maintain a professional demeanor with student-athletes, parents, staff, guidance counselors, the community, and the media
• Other duties and responsibilities in addition to those above which do not alter the basic level of responsibility of the position
Qualifications (minimum hiring standards include)
– Bachelor’s Degree from and accredited college or university
– accepted into an Anna Maria College On-Campus Graduate Program
– ability to pass a background check
– willing to travel
– valid driver’s license
– working a non-traditional schedule including, evenings and weekends
– has the ambition to pursue a soccer coaching career at the collegiate level within the years to come – (preferred)
– competitive soccer playing experience at the NCAA (I, II, III) or NAIA level – (preferred)
– variety soccer coaching experience (Youth, Collegiate, Professional) – (preferred)
– coaching education: USSF, USC, UEFA – (preferred)

Compensation / Benefits Overview: further details will be discussed with candidate, if granted an interview
-during academic year (Fall/Spring Semesters) bi-weekly paid stipend during academic year
-on-campus dormitory style housing
-on-campus 330 meal plan allotment per year
-2 free tuition remission graduate courses per semester (Fall/Spring) in-total of 4 free classes per academic year
