Position Title: Intramural Graduate Assistant
Department: Student Life
Reports To: Director of Student Activities
Position Overview: The Intramural Graduate Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of the college’s intramural sports program. This role involves administrative, supervisory, and hands-on responsibilities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging intramural experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development and Management
- Lead the planning and execution of a diverse range of intramural sports and tournaments
- Develop and maintain intramural schedules, league structures, and event brackets
- Coordinate with other campus departments to promote intramural sports
- Participant Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for intramural participants, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants
- Promote sportsmanship and positive interaction among participants
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of team registrations and participation statistics
- Assist with purchasing and inventory management for intramural equipment and supplies
- Prepare reports and evaluations to assess program effectiveness and participant satisfaction
- Marketing and Outreach
- Develop marketing materials and strategies to promote intramural sports to the campus community
- Utilize social media, the What’s Happening e-mail and other platforms to increase program visibility
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as the student life point person for Thursday evening bar nights in the on-campus bar.
Work Hours:
- 10 hours total per week
- Tuesdays from 8-11pm
- Thursdays from 8-11pm to chaperone the on-campus Pub
- 4 hours of in-office administrative time during business hours
