What are your favorite things about the MSW program?
The help and guidance we receive from the staff.
What do you hope to achieve in the future with your graduate degree?
I hope to be able to serve the geriatric population, possibly become a social worker at a nursing home.
Where do you currently work and what do you enjoy about your career?
I currently work as the general manager of Leicester Country Club. I enjoy the face time with customers, the flexibility of my schedule (which also allows me to take time off to work my internship), but most of all I love to golf!
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a social worker?
The most rewarding aspect I have had as a practicing social worker is the joy it brings my clients when I go to spend time with them. I work with dementia patients who do not get many visitors, so to see how happy it makes them when I spend time with them and just give them attention makes me feel such joy in what I do.
What should prospective students know about Anna Maria’s MSW program?
There is the flexibility, and someone is always there to reach out if you feel overwhelmed. The staff is always willing to help and gives great advice.
