Trista Daley

Hometown: New Braintree, MA

Major: Art Therapy

What is the inspiration behind your senior art exhibition work?

The inspiration behind my artwork is nature, natural forms, or elements that show patterns, lines, and a circular structure, also known as a mandala.

What is your favorite Anna Maria College memory?

My favorite memory from Anna Maria College, is probably getting my car towed away multiple times. I don’t think I ever will forget it, because they had such a hard time trying to get my car on the tow truck, I ended up having to help them push my car so they could reach it!

What are your plans for the future?

My plan after graduation is to take a vacation and then look into grad school programs.

Alexa Lynch

Hometown: Chelmsford, MA

Major: Art Therapy

What is the inspiration behind your senior art exhibition work?

My senior art exhibition work is inspired by feeling overwhelmed. I depict entangling and conflicting emotions and use them as a tool to regulate and process through them.

What is your favorite Anna Maria College memory?

My favorite memory at Anna Maria College is the late-night study sessions in the library with friends during exam weeks.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m planning on taking some time to get more work experience in entry level jobs, to apply what I have learned. Then I plan on applying for a graduate program in counseling.

Lydia Rosen

Hometown: Amherst, MA

Major: Art Therapy

What is the inspiration behind your senior art exhibition work?

One-line drawings served as my source of inspiration. They are gorgeous but, in my opinion, underappreciated. Professor Hurley’s art therapy class also inspired me to put emotions behind the portraits. Most of the faces in my artwork are those of myself or my close friends. I wanted my senior exhibition to have a personal and emotional connection to me. I have strong feelings about the ability of art and emotions to work together to create amazing artwork.

What is your favorite Anna Maria College memory?

My best memory is being able to continue playing sports while also receiving an education that developed my artistic abilities.

What are your plans for the future?

After graduation, I want to take a break and celebrate finishing college. I intend to begin my master’s in counseling program this Spring.
