(Worcester, MA) – February 5, 2021 – Anna Maria College partners with WCCA TV to offer a credited Television Production Course in downtown Worcester.

“WCCA TV has long been a supporter of the Arts and in the past several years, an important part of our gallery programming,” said David Wackell, Director of Art and Culture at Anna Maria College. “Utilizing their state-of-the-art facility ensures quality, real-world experiences for Anna Maria students.”

The Video Studio Production course will offer Anna Maria College students a wonderful opportunity to experience and learn Television production arts in a real, vibrant, and active television production setting. There will also be a chance for their works to be applied as a part of WCCA TV programming seen around the world at Worcester Cable 194, wccatv.com, Roku (Worcester TV), and on various social media platforms.

The program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the basic elements of visual storytelling, through the medium of video production in a real TV studio environment. Students will learn the unique aspect of the main elements of TV Studio Production: the production team, pre-production, Photography, and Post –production. This partnership will teach students skills that are best practices for a worldwide industry standard in TV production.

“This collaborative initiative will give students a unique opportunity to develop and strengthen career skills which are needed in an ever more video/digital reliant world and it’s a great way to interphase with the community at large,” said Mauro DePasquale, Executive Director at WCCA TV. “We are excited to welcome Anna Maria students to downtown Worcester at WCCA TV.”
