What is the inspiration behind your senior art exhibition work?
I am a dual sport athlete playing basketball and football, but I was only able to choose one sport and I thought the NFL would be more fun to pursue for my sports designs.
What is your favorite Anna Maria College memory?
Winning the ECFC championship and the Rep Your Flag Party that Black Student Union hosted.
What are your plans for the future after graduation?
Hopefully being part of the Nike graphics team one day or being a sports designer for a school/program.
Sean Magee from Concord, NH is a Video and Photographic Arts major who will be showcasing his work at the senior art show.
What is the inspiration behind your senior art exhibition work?
I love trying to do things a bit differently than people expect. I decided landscape photos had been done, so I wanted to try to do reflections of landscapes. Trying to capture amazing scenery within the reflections of windows. As I went on, I realized how many things give off reflections and decided it would be fun to play with that. I almost felt like I was playing a game with each photo. Manipulating each reflection to try and get the perfect photo inside each reflection.
What is your favorite Anna Maria College memory?
I’ve had many amazing memories in the past year with some incredible people, so it’s hard to pick just one. From hilarious moments with my RA Staff to many fun class projects, there’s just so many to pick from! However, I’d have to say finding out that a photograph I took for class was going to be shown off in the 2024 Arts Worcester College Show was my favorite. I can never forget how excited I was to tell every last one of my closest friends about it, and eventually seeing it hanging on the walls felt unreal to me.
What are your plans for the future after graduation?
I’ve absolutely fallen in love with photography, and I’m praying I can turn it into a lifelong career!
