Why did you select Anna Maria College as your graduate school?

For my BSW, I selected Anna Maria because of its proximity to my home. It was an easy commute with flexible class scheduling. For my MSW, I returned because it made sense financially and I had developed a trust in the curriculum and faculty.

What are your favorite things about the MSW program?

The flexibility to be creative with projects and to tailor those learning opportunities towards the issues and areas that mattered most to me.

What do you hope to achieve in the future with your graduate degree?

I am doing it. I am living my best life.

Where do you currently work and what do you enjoy about your career?

I am currently in Private Practice. Working for myself is my best life. It allows me to serve clients, continue a pursuit of lifelong learning, homeschool my children, spend quality time with my family and just be in love with life.

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a social worker?

Hands down… “Ah ha” moments.  It is so powerful to watch some grow in that way.
