Name: Callie Bucchino

Hometown: Uxbridge, MA

Major: Double major in Forensic Criminology and Health Sciences

Why did you choose Anna Maria College?

I chose Anna Maria College because the school I went to before ended up closing and Anna Maria College presented a great opportunity for me to continue my studies and help me achieve my academic goals.

What are some of your favorite memories?

Some of my favorite memories are sitting in my car in the parking lot while eating lunch between classes enjoying the weather, getting to see Dr. Marden’s dog Emma every day, and when the Massachusetts State Police came to teach our Forensic Archaeology class about their search dogs.

What was your greatest accomplishment during your time at Anna Maria?

My greatest accomplishment was being able to add on a second major after working so hard in my science courses. I will miss all the incredible professors who helped me graduate.

What are your plans for the future?

For the future, I’d like to get a job working in death investigation or in a lab doing forensic testing. Eventually I’d like to pursue a master’s degree in forensics.

Any advice for the class of 2027?

You have many teachers who want to see you succeed, so don’t be afraid to reach out to them for help if you need it. Come to class everyday with an appetite for learning and take lots of notes (even if you think you’ll remember it later, write it down). Lastly, don’t be too hard on yourself! Stay hydrated and get lots of rest before exams.
