John Kelly ‘24 is a Long Island resident who is double majoring in Forensic Criminology and Criminal Justice. Over the past four years, John discovered his own opportunities and become a well-known campus leader who also serves as the President of the Anna Maria Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Vice President of AMCares, a Student Government Senator, President of the 2024 Class Council, a member of the Anna Maria Chapter of the American Cancer Society, an Admissions Ambassador, and an Orientation Leader.
Why did you choose Anna Maria for your degree?
I chose Anna Maria College for my degree because of all the experienced professors. The professors didn’t just crack open a book and study the topic of criminal justice, they were detectives, state police, local patrol officers, chiefs, and lawyers. They came to Anna Maria to be a part of building the future of the criminal justice world.
What do you love about your major?
That I get to build so many new connections as a student.
What is your favorite Anna Maria College memory?
My first ever college football game!
What are your plans for the future after graduation?
The plan is to move back here to Massachusetts and become a police officer.
What advice would you give to prospective students interested in Anna Maria College?
Come to campus with an open mindset and be ready to try new things, budling yourself is what college is for!
