Anna Maria College hosted the monthly meeting of the Fire Chiefs’ Association of Massachusetts (FCAM) today. Fire Chiefs from across the Commonwealth, many of whom are Anna Maria alums, were in attendance. At the meeting, long-time former Anna Maria College Adjunct Professor Jack Parow was honored with an Appreciation Award for his 27 years of “leadership and service” presented by Anna Maria President Mary Lou Retelle. Chief Parow recently retired as an Anna Maria professor. He is a past president of FCAM and the past president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). Previously, he was the Chelmsford, MA Fire Chief for 14 years. The meeting was hosted by Anna Maria’s Fire Science & Emergency Management program professors Thomas Bogart and Gary Daugherty.
