With the start of February, Anna Maria College has a full schedule of events to recognize and celebrate Black History Month. We encourage our community to attend some of these events, which have been organized by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Black Student Union, with support from the Office of Student Life.
Festival of Holidays: Thursday, February 3rd, in the Southeast Dining Hall at 8:00pm.
Game Night: Friday, February 4th, in The Hub at 9:00pm.
Shirt & Wristband Tabling: Monday, February 7th, in the Campus Center at 1:00pm.
Showtime at the Apollo: Friday, February 11th, in The Hub at 8:00pm. **POSTPONED**
Comedian Alex Babbitt: Friday, February 18th, in Zecco at 8:00pm.
Black History Month Speaker: Wednesday, February 23rd, in Zecco at 7:00pm. Dr. Ousmane Power-Greene from Clark University, who will be speaking on “The Global Dimensions of African American Activism from the Abolition Movement to #Blacklivesmatter.”
Movie Night: Friday, February 25th, in Zecco at 6:00pm. (Movie TBA)
Roll Bounce Skating: Saturday, February 26th, in the Fuller Gym at 8:00pm.
