Edith Mooney LaVigne Lecture Series

The 2026 Edith Mooney LaVigne Lecture Series will take place on April 15th at 5:00pm.

The Lecture Series is made possible through the generosity of the late Edith Mooney LaVigne, a beloved Anna Maria College alumna and trustee. Each year, the series brings an author whose work reflects themes connected to our mission and curriculum.

This year’s lecture will feature Wayne M. Miller, the author of Burn Boston Burn. This year’s event also serves as a special celebration of the 30th anniversary of our Fire Science program, recognizing its community impact and honoring alumni, including several fire chiefs who began their careers at AMC.
