The Social Work Program at Anna Maria College invites applications for a Full-time Field Education Director beginning as early as possible. The director will be responsible for field placement for both juniors (100 hours) and seniors (425 hours) students. In addition a course load of 3/3 including field seminar each semester during the academic year. Other courses may be part of the academic load as an overload.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess at least a Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program or an equivalent and a work experience with a variety of social service agencies in the local community in the Central Massachusetts area. A strong candidate will have knowledge of the CSWE accreditation process and experience in working with an accredited program. A minimum of 2 years of social work practice is required. Licensure in social work is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will also participate in student advising, ongoing research, curriculum development, and will demonstrate a strong commitment to the values and mission of the university. A passion for working with undergraduate students in Christian higher education is essential.
The Program: The Social Work Program currently has about 30 plus students enrolled as majors. There are two full-time faculty member positions in the Program and six adjunct faculty members. The Program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1974.
