POSITION TITLE: Director of Student Activities DATE: March 2025

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Vice President for Student Affairs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Student Activities seeks to foster a campus community that is conducive to all aspects of student development including academic, social, spiritual, cultural, and physical dimensions. The Director assists in developing an activities operation which is reflective of the College’s mission as a Roman Catholic liberal arts institution. The Directory has primary oversight of campus programming, Student Government Association, student clubs & organizations, intramurals, and leadership development. The Director also works very closely with orientation and new student programs.
- Leads and supervises an office staff comprised of a Program Coordinator, Two Graduate Assistants and Student Employees.
- Coordinates all co-curricular programming with a goal of providing enhanced social opportunities and experiential education for students.
- Coordinates and oversees events such as; club & organization fairs, student week day and weekend events, student awards night, Spring Week and Senior Week.
- Assists in planning of Summer Orientation & Welcome Weekend.
- Provides oversight and leadership for student organizations, providing support and training for organization advisors.
- Oversees the Student Activities budget including club funding and major events.
- Advisor to Student Government Association & National Society of Leadership and Success.
- Gathers and maintains information for the weekly campus activities newsletter, maintains the College activities calendar and updates the program planning guide and appropriate sections of the student handbook, family guide and new student guide.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
CONTACTS:
- Regularly serves on a variety of campus committees, and other ad-hoc committees as assigned.
- Maintains active membership in a variety of professional organizations to stay abreast of developments and innovations in the field of Student Activities.
- Interacts regularly with a variety of student committees and groups, students, staff, administrators, parents, agents, vendors, and performers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of student activities experience.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Evenings and weekends expected.
- An appreciation of the mission of the College.
