What can you expect from Anna Maria?

Eligible Becker students will not be required to complete Anna Maria Colleges Core Curriculum requirements, provided that the student has completed either:  all general education/ core curriculum requirements as required by Becker College; or the equivalent of the “Mass Transfer Block,” as determined by the Director of Transfer Admission and the College’s Registrar.

Anna Maria College shall inform Becker students of the status of transfer credits as well as any remaining Core Curriculum requirements before or upon their matriculation at Anna Maria. Anna Maria College shall provide credit under its Core Curriculum for all equivalent general education courses taken at Becker. For those students who have not completed the requirements under (a) or (b) above, Anna Maria College may require additional courses in its Core Curriculum based on remaining credits in the student’s degree program, but these additions will not result in delays in degree completion.

Course Transfer

Eligible Becker College students will not be required to complete Anna Maria Colleges Core Curriculum requirements, provided that the student has completed either:

Room and Board

Becker College students that desire to live and dine on campus will be offered housing and dining at Anna Maria College at the same pricing as Anna Maria College students. This will include the addition of a $2,500 Housing Grant to assist with housing costs.

Tuition and Fees

Becker College students shall pay the same net-tuition amount they would have been paying at Becker College in FY 2021 – 2022. If the tuition charged to Anna Maria College students should increase in a future year, the tuition cost for Becker College students would increase by the same rate. Becker College students shall also be subject to the normal fees that are charged to Anna Maria College undergraduate students.

Financial Aid

Anna Maria College will consider all Becker students for financial aid using existing Anna Maria college financial aid awards and awarding practices. Full consideration will require Becker College students to forward their 2021-2022 FAFSA to Anna Maria College. All transfer students will be considered for a range of merit scholarships that vary between $18,500 and $25,000.

Support

Anna Maria College shall provide orientation and academic support to Becker College students transferring to Anna Maria College and shall make best efforts to ensure that Becker College students are able to register for the classes they need, or shall consider authorizing appropriate substitute courses.

Grade Point Average Calculation

As with all other transfer students, for Becker College students who transfer to Anna Maria College in accordance with this MOU, the student Grade Point Average will be computed using the grades earned at Anna Maria College.

Graduation

Becker College students who enroll and complete their degree at Anna Maria College will receive an Anna Maria College diploma.
