Biography
Sam works at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital with adults with chronic mental illness and substance use disorder. In addition to recovery-centered music therapy groups promoting hope and self-direction, she also facilitates improvisational drumming, hip hop analysis, and music-based leisure groups for ten inpatient psychiatric units. She supervises undergraduate interns from Anna Maria College and aBerklee College of Music, and maintains a private music therapy practice centered in Boston for adults with multiple impairments. She studied afro-cuban and brazilian hand percussion in conjunction with music therapy at Berklee College of Music.
