Anna Maria College will host a multi-agency emergency response exercise in partnership with first responders and professionals in emergency management on Thursday, June 8. This live-action emergency simulation is associated with Anna Maria’s Graduate Health Emergency Management program.

The primary site for the drill will be the clinical simulation lab in Foundress Hall, the back parking lot near the gym, and the softball field. The back parking lots behind Madonna will be the main staging area for visiting public safety vehicles. The drill is scheduled to begin at 9:30 and will run until 11:30 a.m.  Emergency personnel and vehicles will likely arrive as early as 7:30 a.m.

During the simulation, personnel will respond in real-time, with possible sirens, several moving vehicles, and aerial drones.  We also anticipate that a Life Flight helicopter will land on campus between 9:30-11:30. The helicopter will use the designated landing zone which is on the front lawn of St. Anne residence hall.

Outside of Anna Maria College staff, faculty, and potential College guests, only pre-registered drill participants will be allowed on the campus and monitored at the main entrance by Paxton Police.

This is only an exercise.
