Each residence hall provides a unique on-campus living experience. Numerous programs and activities are presented throughout the semester by our energetic, dedicated Residence Life staff. Residence Life allows Anna Maria students to build lasting friendships and memories within an environment that fosters diversity, leadership and opportunities.
Residence life at Anna Maria College is guided by our philosophy:

Housing Processes
Anna Maria College provides housing for full-time undergraduate and graduate students. Any questions regarding Housing Processes should be directed to the Office of Residence Life & Student Conduct.
First-Year and Transfer Housing Application
We are so excited to welcome our incoming students to life on-campus! Housing assignments for incoming students are based on the date the student deposits to the College. To apply for housing, please complete the
Residence Life Housing Application and Agreement

The Housing Application and Agreement provide an opportunity for students to share their housing preferences, request a roommate, and provide information that our staff will use to help pair you with a roommate if needed. The Housing Application and Agreement also outlines the residential policies and expectations for residential students.
Incoming students should complete their Housing Agreement no later than Friday, July 22, 2023. Housing assignments and roommate information will be sent to all incoming students via their AMC email accounts, no later than August 1, 2023.
We recommend new students review this list (document attached to email) to assist with items that you will need as you plan to move-on campus this Fall.
Upperclass Housing Lottery and Selection
The 2023 – 2024 Housing Selection Information is now available for all returning students. Unlike incoming students placed into housing by Residence Life, returning students can select their housing assignment for the upcoming academic year! Students who submit the Housing Application by March 3, 2023 will be given a lottery number to select their housing. For more information regarding the Housing Selection Process, Lottery Numbers, Creating Groups, etc. we encourage you to review the Housing Selection Sway! The Sway will serve as a one-stop shop for all Housing Selection Information!
Withdrawal from Housing
To cancel the Housing Agreement, the student must complete the Housing Withdrawal Form (https://annamaria.formstack.com/forms/housingwithdrawal). Once submitted, a staff member will review the request and confirm with the student via their AMC email account.
The room deposit is refundable as a credit to the student’s Anna Maria College Student Account through May 1 and is non-refundable after May 1. Please refer to the Housing Application and Agreement for more information regarding associated fees and deadlines.
Information on Medical Accommodations
All requests for medical accommodations on-campus and in the residence halls are reviewed and assessed by Student Health Services (https://annamaria.edu/shs/#MedicalHousing). Incoming students applying for medical accommodations should do so no later than July 15. Returning students should re-apply ahead of the Upperclass Housing Lottery & Selection. Returning students will receive notification from the Office of Residence Life & Student Conduct during the academic year with more instructions and timelines about the re-application process.
In order to apply for medical accommodations, all students must follow the steps below:
- Review policies regarding Medical Housing Accommodations and/or Assistance Animals and the Housing Accommodations Application Process on the Student Health Services website here: https://annamaria.edu/shs/#MedicalHousing
- Complete the Medical Housing Request Form
- Submit a letter of support from your provider to Student Health Services.
- Your letter can be uploaded in the Medical Housing Request Form, emailed, or faxed to Student Health Services.
- Your letter should include a brief summary of what you are being treated for, why you are in need of the medical accommodation, and how the medical accommodation will benefit you as a student.
Getting Involved in the Residence Halls
The Office of Residence Life & Student Conduct offers a variety of leadership and student employment opportunities for students to get involved on-campus, grow their leadership skills, and build community. Student leadership and involvement contributes to a strong positive residential community.
Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate live-in student leaders that are responsible for promoting a strong, inclusive community and facilitating various programming and community building initiatives. RAs play an integral role in establishing a community that is conducive to maximizing academic, personal and social development, and maintaining a healthy and safe living environment.
RAs report directly to graduate and full-time Resident Directors. RA Hiring and Selection for the upcoming academic year begins during the Spring semester and students should be on the lookout during the Fall semester for more information regarding the application and interview process.
Desk Attendants (DAs) serves as a primary resource and customer service representative for a particular residence hall at Anna Maria College. Desk Attendants are available to assist residential students and their guests. This position serves as an additional support to Resident Assistants and the Resident Directors serving on duty.
DA Hiring and Selection occurs during the Summer and the first few weeks of the Fall semester to allow first-year students an opportunity for on-campus employment.
The Residence Hall Association is a resident-led organization on-campus that helps to promote community and advocacy for the residential community. The Residence Hall Association has a budget through the Student Government Association for various initiatives, on-campus events, and more! Residence Halls
Alumni & Coghlin Hall
Alumni and Coghlin Halls house upper-class residents in a mix of single and double rooms. Coghlin Hall features air conditioning with individual room controls. The two buildings share numerous large common areas as well as a kitchen and laundry room
Madonna Hall
Madonna Hall is centrally located in the middle of campus across from Foundress Hall and is the biggest residence hall, housing over 300 students. It’s a multilevel building with four wings; Mondor, O’Leary, Eagen, and Duggan. There are double rooms, triple rooms with a lofted bed, quad rooms, and suites, which have two rooms with a full bath.
St. Anne Hall
St. Anne Hall houses 200 students in a state-of-the-art, suite-style setting. The 63,000 square-foot Hall is comprised of three floors with two residential halls per wing. Common areas are located in the central core and include lounges, laundry rooms, study rooms, a kitchen, a resident director’s office, a workroom, lobbies, a central staircase, and an elevator. St. Anne Hall has 35 student suites with 63 double rooms and 69 single rooms.
South Hall
Opened In August 2008, South Hall is air-conditioned and offers a mix of double and single rooms. The large main lounge has a flat screen television, kitchenette and plenty of room for group study or group activities.
