Fifth Year Option to Earn a Master's Degree
What is it?
The benefit to the student is two-fold:
2. If the student achieves a grade of B or better in each course, he/she will be admitted to the graduate school with an Advanced Standing status.
*Advanced Standing: a student will be credited with having already earned six graduate credits, two courses, toward a graduate degree at Anna Maria College.
Students who wish to pursue the Fifth Year Option must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater and have earned 90 credits or more.
How does it work?
Students have an opportunity to plan undergraduate studies in a way that allows them to begin graduate work in the senior year. Students add two graduate courses to their senior coursework and it is these two courses that are placed on the master's transcript.Upon successful graduation from the undergraduate program, the senior year coursework will be reviewed and a determination about admission into the graduate program will be made. Upon final admissions, the student will be sent a formal letter of acceptance into the graduate master's program.
What are the Fifth Year Program options?
> Business> Counseling Psychology
> Criminal Justice
> Justice Administration
> Education
> Emergency Management
> Fire Science
> Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety
> Pastoral Ministry
> Visual Art
How do I apply?
